Licensing & Vetting
DON Services is a licensed personal care agency in Pennsylvania, regulated under the state’s Home Care Agency requirements. All attendants complete background checks, required clearances, and training before working with consumers.
Non-Medical Care, Explained
Attendant Services are non-medical: DON caregivers assist with daily living activities in the home. This is different from skilled home health care (nursing, therapy, wound care), which requires a physician’s order. If you or a loved one needs skilled medical care, DON can help point you toward the right resource.
Flexible Schedule
DON Services works with consumers to build a schedule that fits their needs and wants. Schedules can flex around medical appointments, social events, and other changes as they come up.

Respite
DON Services offers temporary support as relief for those who normally provide care — giving family caregivers a break when they need one.
Transition Services
DON Services’ Independent Living Coordinators assist individuals with disabilities through life transitions — whether that’s moving from an institution back into the community, from a school setting into adult life, or another transition. This includes Nursing Home Transition services, offered across all four DON Services offices and covering 19 counties in Western Pennsylvania.
